The IVVQ Test Engineer will play a critical role as part of the Ottawa Engineering team responsible for the design, conduct, and reporting of Integration, Verification, Validation and Qualification activities.

Key Accountabilities:

• Plan, Monitor and Execute Test activities such as FAT, HAT and SAT

  • Contribute to the IVVQ Plan

  • Analyze requirements and contribute to the development of the VCRM.

  • Develop Test cases

  • Work with System Engineers in analyzing Defects

  • Raise defects, project issues/risks and track to resolution

  • Provide Test Reports and status updates on test activities

  • Deploy methodologies (including metrics), tools/platforms necessary for test activities

• Observe test guidelines and Company internal processes;

• Provide coaching and guidance to Junior Test Engineers

Key Requirements:

• Demonstrated 3+ years of testing experience

• Script and Simulation tools development and maintenance

• Test Case development and execution; manual and/or automated

• Requirements Analysis

• Test Management Tools such as DOORs

• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.

• Attention to Detail

• This position may require travel either domestically and internationally.

• This position requires direct or indirect access to hardware, software, technology or technical data controlled under the Canadian Export Control List, Canadian Controlled Goods Program, the Canadian Industrial Security Program, the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). All applicants must be able to meet the eligibility requirements outlined in the Canadian Controlled Goods Program and be able to obtain a Canadian NATO Secret clearance.

Nice to have:

• Experience in military ground based air defense systems including, but not limited to, radar, tactical data links, Command and Control (C2) systems, and secure voice and data communication systems.

• Executing Integration

• Leading Integration Activities;

  • Developing an Integration Strategy/Plan

• Security, Performance and Stability testing
