About The Role
You are passionate about hardware development – understanding customer needs, translating them into high-level requirements, and guiding the team to successful project outcomes. You enjoy working closely with clients and collaborating with a team of multidisciplinary engineers, designers, and scientists to create complex, smart connected devices deployed at scale. You can look forward to working a minimum of one day per week from our offices, located in beautiful Vancouver, BC.
You have a clear understanding of clients’ goals and priorities, implement execution strategies to attain and exceed the stated purpose, and diligently follow a framework for managing client expectations. You create and maintain project schedules and budgets, monitor project team progress, and communicate project needs, risks, schedules and deliverables, both internally and with the client.
You continuously develop and iterate on project management best practices and processes and contribute to mentoring and developing less experienced teammates. You employ exceptional communications skills to ensure a high degree of integrity, transparency and trust across the entire MistyWest ecosystem of peers, partners, clients and stakeholders.
Requirements
Requirements
Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline
5+ years of previous PM experience managing complex hardware product development projects (combination of hardware and software ok)
A firm understanding of project management best practices, methodologies, standards, and tools
A strong multidisciplinary background, unending sense of curiosity and eagerness to learn
Legally entitled to work in Canada (citizen, landed immigrant, permanent resident or have a valid work permit in place).
Located in the GVRD region (Vancouver, BC and surrounding areas)

Nice-To-Have Qualifications (in order of preference):
Understanding of IoT and/or Computer Vision architectures
Understanding of Agile and/or lean product development concepts
Experience under a Quality Management System (preferably with Medical device development)
Experience working in a client-facing role or at an engineering consultancy
PMP certification, Lean Six Sigma, etc.
Valid passport and the ability to travel internationally on occasion

Salary
Compensation for this role will be commensurate with experience and the degree to which the candidate fulfills the various requirements of the role.
Total Cash Compensation for this role may range from $81,321-$100,811 with profit sharing and banked time included.
In addition to base salary, MistyWest offers a dynamic salary based on profit sharing, equity, banked time and benefits.
