The Technical Support will be working alongside both Quality Assurance teams and development partners to create, maintain, and enhance automation scripts. In this role you will be able to provide technical insights and expertise to support comprehensive automated verification. This position works collaboratively with the development and QA teams. You will be working on a Soccer related video game produced in Burnaby, BC.
Requirements
BS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent industry experience
Understanding Software Development Life-Cycle processes (Agile/Scrum/Kanban)
Previous experience in software QA
Professional software experience using C# or Java
Ability to use internal tools (assist in creating)
Experience writing test automation (C# highly preferred)
Strong understanding of testing methodologies
Unit testing
Update scripts
Debug process
Fix bugs on existing scripts
Experience with source control software and practices, including but not limited to:
Practices: version control, source control, build systems
Tools: Jenkins, Perforce, Git
Good database knowledge: MySQL, SQL, Elastic Stack
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Daily/weekly tasks
Focussed on the creating, maintaining and validating automation scripts
Develops and executes automated unit testing suites
Attend scrums and meetings to comprehend scope
Provide feedback on testability
Ability to present analysis to relevant teams as needed
Supporting the Quality Assurance targets for the product through improving testing procedures
Meet regularly with QA, Development, and Production teams throughout the project cycle
Clarifies how automation should work to eliminate ambiguous requirements
Proactively reviews his/her automation strategy for completeness
Responsible for assigned features and tasks
